BAJO DE GUADALUPE IS PRODUCING YELLOWTAIL OF
15 TO 20 POUNDS FOR ANGLERS AT BAHIA DE LOS ANGELES

Feb. 25, 2005, Abraham Vazquez, Camp Gecko, Bahia de los Angeles fishing, Baja Calfornia, Mexico:

The fishing at Bahia de los Angeles continues very good for yellowtail, nice size ones of 15-20 pounds, caught on jigs at El Bajo de Guadalupe. There have also been some of the grandes in the 40 pound range caught in the Isla Ventana area at the surface. This is normal for Bahia de los Angeles fishing at this time of the year.

The fishing on the local islands inside Bahia de los Angeles (L.A. Bay) for jawfish and bass is also good.

The water temperature is a cold, 59-60 degrees in the local Bahia de los Angeles sportfishing area, brrrr.

The weather has not been too bad. The air temperature at Bahia de los Angeles is over 70 degrees every day and in the mid 50s at night. The winds have been mild and mostly in the afternoon, and there hasn't been much rain here.

The new Bahia de los Angeles village gas station has gasoline now, but it cannot start selling it until the pumps are verified by PROFECO, so it is just a matter of days.
