SUPER ABUNDANT YELLOWTAIL CAUGHT FROM
SHORE BY ANGLERS AT SAN FRANCISQUITO

June 22, 2005, John Aman, San Francisquito beach fishing, Baja California, Mexico:

Chris Duensing and I fished at San Francisquito from June 14 until June 19. The amount of yellowtail right now is unbelievable. We fished from my boat everyday and caught yellowtail to 35 pounds. I caught two yellowtail from the beach by chasing them down at the north end of the beach on my quad! We caught all fish on jigs. There is tons of bait in the water, so they didn't always want to bite. Still, we managed 20-plus yellowtail for fillets and released quite a few. The water temperature was 70 degrees, and warming up nicely!
