END OF SUMMER FISHING WATER
TEMPERATURES STILL AS HIGH AS 86 DEGREES

Sept. 11, 2005, Abraham Vazquez, Camp Gecko, Bahia de los Angeles, Baja California, Mexico Report:

The weather has been hot at Bahia de los Angeles (L.A. Bay) for the past week, in the 100's during the day and in the mid 80's at night, until last night when it changed to the low 70's at night, and it is a cool morning now. Hopefully the heat is gone now.

Bahia de los Angeles fishing water temperature is hot still, 82-86 degrees. There is still some dorado hanging out in areas close to the shore, and there are yellows on the deep reefs still. There is sierra in the bay, so fishing is still good at Bahia de los Angeles.

There is a total absence of tourists here. I guess with the high gasoline prices and the news of Katrina all are staying home. There are still no whale sharks in the bay.
