YELLOWTAIL FISHING IS DOWN DEEP AT L.A. BAY

Nov. 7, 2005, Abraham Vazquez, Camp Gecko, Bahia de los Angeles (L.A. Bay), Baja California, Mexico:

Fishing at Bahia de los Angeles (L.A. Bay) is good now. The yellowtail are still here, and the fishing action is down deep. It has been a good bite for the past week, but the yellows are small. Most of the action is on jigs. There are some sierra in the bay, and bait is easy to get now.

Bahia de los Angeles weather is great, the low 80’s for a high and the mid 60’s during the night with low humidity. Winds have been mild out of the north for a few days.

Bahia de los Angeles fishing water temperature is between 73-75 degrees. The road conditions are great, and gasoline is pumping but down to 1 pump now.

The federal consumer bureau, Profeco, canceled some pumps because they where pumping more than they should. Has anybody told these guys they should do that when pumps pump less also? Anyway I am glad at least one of the pumps was doing less and they left that one open. Otherwise we would be with out gas. I do think we need 2 stations, or maybe more, $2.10 dollars per gallon.

The whale sharks are inside the Bahia de los Angeles now. There are several of them, and very late so the season will not be long.
