CRUISER AND PANGA FISHING REPORT
FOR THE BOATS ANZUELO II AND CHEERS

Sept. 7, 2004, Bill Lynd, Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

Bill and Patty Lynd of Green Valley, Ariz., fished at Cabo San Lucas Sept. 7 with Octavio and mate Victor on Cabo Sportfishing's 28-foot boat Anzuelo II. The weather was a little sloppy in the morning and we were glad we were in a cruiser. Cabo San Lucas fishing was good as we targeted inshore fishing. We caught 2 dorado, one football yellowfin and a roosterfish along with 10 or 12 bonita.

The following day we fished with Ramon on his panga Cheers. Cabo San Lucas weather was much improved and we caught 2 dorado and 5 bonita on a fly rod. What a kick.

Cabo's Sportfishing is located next to the Mar De Cortez Hotel, Cabo San Lucas. Octavio Castro is the owner and was our skipper. He is Ramon's uncle. Octavio's tel. 011 52 624 143 05 83. Ramon's Tel 011 52 624 143 14 95. Ask for Ramon.

In both cases we fished about a mile off the Pacific side. Of course we got the rooster in the surf. The fly dorados were off the old Cabo San Lucas lighthouse, again about a mile off shore. They were with Ramon in the panga. We did better with Octavio, but it is really fun catching a dorado on the fly.
