SEVEN DAYS OF FISHING ON THE CABO SAN LUCAS
BOATS SPICY TUNA AND EAGLE I,

I fished out of Cabo San Lucas on the Spicy Tuna and Eagle 1 for seven days last week in the Sea of Cortez from 10 miles south of Cabrillo Sea Mount to Cabo Pulmo and caught 8 blue marlin in the 250-300 pound range, one 200 pound striper, one sailfish and a 50 pound dorado, three tuna over 100 pounds, many smaller tuna, skipjack and a jack crevalle, and even a giant squid. Five of the blues came from the Cabo Pulmo region, which I fished out of Cabo San Lucas by taking the Spicy Tuna on a three day, double overnight excursion. All of the blues were blind jig strikes.

Spicy Tuna is chartered out by Angel Carbajal, the owner of Nik-San, the best sushi restaurant in Cabo San Lucas. Eagle 1 is also chartered, owned by James Lee.
