PANGA FLY FISHING AND CONVENTIONAL TACKLE FISHING ABOARD THE CHEER'S

Dec. 22, 2006, Ramon Druck, charter super panga Cheer's, Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico:

Fishing on December 22nd (Friday):

The Cheer's left Cabo San Lucas for fishing from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. I fished with 3 persons aboard including Ray Herr and Nancy Herr.

The fishing was very good, with very nice weather, a light breeze, a calm sea, and periods of sun and occasional clouds. The water temperature was 84 to 86 degrees. We caught 1 striped marlin plus another marlin that didn't come up because it came off so we don't know how much it weighed. We fished about 4 miles out from Cabo San Lucas on the Pacific side about at Faro Viejo. We returned to Cabo early with good fishing luck.

Fishing on December 26th (Tuesday):

The Cheer's fished today with three persons aboard, Matt Smith, Tighe Smith, and Lance Rez. We departed Cabo San Lucas for fishing from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 5 hours of fishing on a very calm sea without much breeze and a water temperature of 83 degrees to 84 degrees. The fishing today was a little slow because we were fly fishing with light rods. We caught 1 dorado and 1 skipjack. We fished the beaches north of Cabo San Lucas around Faro Viejo.
