ABOUT 4 SAILFISH PER DAY RAISED IN OFFSHORE FISHING OUT OF LOS BARRILES

Aug. 20, 2004, Werner Hradecky, East Cape fishing, Baja California Sur, Mexico:

Just got back from East Cape fishing at Los Barriles with my good friend Scott Bolleter (he's from San Antonio, TX).

East Cape fishing was great with water temps in the mid 80's. Water was nice and blue and I caught a 65-70 lb dorado two miles east of Punta Pescadero.

We fished for 3 days and had 12 sailfish in the pattern, catching only 3. Also caught a couple of stripers. On the other day we went diving with Mark and the visibility was great off Cabo Pulmo.

Fished with Xavier on Alexis. Alexis is a 22 foot super panga. The day we caught the dodo, we probably had 7-8 sailfish in the pattern.

The dodo was caught last Sunday 15th. We dove at Cabo Pulmo on Monday the 16th. Spearfished off Punta Pescadero on the 17th in the morning and caught a couple of strippers in the afternoon. Came back on the 18th.

East Cape weather was great. Had a breeze daily that started around 11 am. Never got too hot. I was actually surprised for August.
