BUENA VISTA BOATS FISHING ABOUT 30 MILES BOTH NORTH AND SOUTH

March 25-31, 2005, Axel Valdez, Buena Vista Beach Report, East Cape sportfishing report, Mexico:

Total boats out 25. Fishermen 79. Weather, mid-70s to mid-80s. Water temperature, 68-72 degrees. Striped Marlin 15. Dorado 3. Tuna 1. Roosterfish 1. Snapper 25. Jack Crevalle 2. Amberjack 1. Pompano 2. Cabrilla 11. Skip Jack 93. Sierra 1.

Water temperature didn't move this past week, we hardly saw any increment in our water temperature. We still had a little wind this past week, but it was nicer toward the end.

Fishing distances are 20 to 35 miles, but we are still going both ways.

East Cape marlin fishing improved a lot toward the end of the week, it seems that the marlin started to come back. Dorado was slow, not many. Another tuna was caught, we are definitely getting there.

Inshore, we had great cabrilla fishing, good and plenty of variety all around this week. Bleeding mackerel was the hot lure this past week.
