THREE HOURS OF TIN BOAT FISHING FOR "NADA" AT EAST CAPE THIS WEEK

Four or five years ago, the first ten days in June were a real hot box here in the East Cape fishing area, with 105 degree temperatures during the day, and not much relief at night.

The cold water upwelling continues on the Pacific side just north of Cabo San Lucas. Last night it was 55 degrees at East Cape.

I took the tin boat fishing inshore yesterday for 3 hours with all my good stuff. I came back empty, with a lot of other empty East Cape sportfishing boats grumbling about the "cold water." They are catching more than their usual share of nice wahoo at La Ventana.
