LATE SUMMER DIVING AT EAST CAPE SPECTACULAR FOR SEA LIFE SIGHTINGS

Oct. 30, 2005, Mark Rayor, Vista Sea Sport, Cabo Pulmo, East Cape, Baja Sur, Mexico Diving:

This is my favorite time of year for diving at East Cape. Funny because we are not very busy. It happens the same every year. There is a fine line on timing though. This is the last calm before the north wind arrives and changes everything. I'm hopeful for a couple more good weeks. The air temperature at East Cape has cooled enough that we are wearing wind breakers in the morning for the boat ride to Cabo Pulmo. Diving water is still in the low 80's at depth and very comfortable. Sightings of sea life have been spectacular. This week we have seen everything from frog fish and nudibranchs to white tip shark, huge grouper and schooling bigeye jacks being stalked by sea lions. It doesn't get any better than this.

Fishing has been outstanding also. A couple days ago I took a friend out for fun and got nine tuna to 90 pounds and a nice blue marlin.
