EAST CAPE BEACH FISHING SLOW IN WIND-FREE CONDITIONS

Nov. 11, 2005, Mike Reichner, Baja Beach Captain, East Cape Beach Fishing, Baja Sur, Mexico:

East Cape fishing beaches had no wind at all this week and clear water, but the fishing was a little slow from the playa.

Two days ago a couple of us spent 3 hours fishing on the beach in the morning and had a fun for hour or so on ladyfish but not much else.

Fishing yesterday, we caught 2 sierra yesterday and a lookdown.

A buddy caught another grande rooster the day before yesterday on live bait from the beach. It was one of those cast a Rapala, hook a ladyfish, get grabbed by a pez gallo deals. He actually got it to the beach and released it on 8 pound line. It measured 44 inches in length so was a nice fish.

Water temps on the beach are still hovering around 80ish.
