ENSENADA LOCAL BAY FISHING PRODUCES BARRACUDA AND BONITA

Sept. 18, 2004, Gerardo Sanchez, KCHTS Sportfishing, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico Fishing:

During the week Ensenada fishing action inside the bay was almost the same, some berrys at the island and el bajo, small bonitas on trolling, and at university point, Ensenada, wide-open bite on sandbass and calicos, also some yellowtails average 8 to 12 pounds. Yesterday's Ensenada fishing had a couple of white sea bass. The outer banks report is for slower action, down a little bit, but they are still catching yellowfin tunas, yellowtails and dorados at the kelp paddies, all of this between the 238 spot and the lower 500.

Sept. 12, 2004, Gerardo Sanchez, KCHTS Sportfishing, Ensenada Fishing Fleet Report:

Inside Ensenada bay a lot of bonitas, small and medium size. On Thursday with 4 pax, we got 4 yellowtail, average 15 pounds, also wide-open local Ensenada fishing bite on bonitas and some berries, all of this by Punta Banda and between the islands. Friday only bonitas and berrys at Ensenada, and a few calicos at University Point. Saturday and Sunday no fishing trips. We were working on the transmission of the Don Juan. We finished today and the boat is working again. From the Ensenada outer banks fishing the report I have is yellowfin tunas and some dorados by 31.19 and 116.49 This is outside of the peanut bank.
