NO ALBACORE FOUND DURING FISHING TRIP OFF ENSENADA

April 16, 2005, Steve Ross, Bad Dog, Ensenada, Mexico Fishing Report:

Fishing out of Marina Coral, Ensenada, on the Bad Dog, we trolled for albacore around the 450 in 63 degree blue water. Fishing on board were Gail Ross and Mike "Black Jack" Kraus. There were no jig strikes all day and we only found 3 kelp paddies. Fishing at two paddies produced 4 yellowtail in the 7 pound class caught on live sardines located at 31.25.506 117.10.686 where the water temperature was a blue 62.9 degrees. At first light, Gail reeled up a 4 pound red vermilion, a 3 pound salmon grouper and a lingcod while fishing on the top of Ensenada's Banda Bank.
