ENSENADA FISHING BOATS BRING IN SOME ALBACORE

Private fishing boats from Marina Coral in Ensenada are starting to bring in albacore from the 238 bank, 20 pounders. Ensenada fishing boats are also catching yellowtail to 12 pounds from the kelp paddies. The water temperature in the Ensenada offshore sportfishing areas is at 65 degrees.

Our boat, Amigo, fishing at Isla Todos Santos is also starting to catch big yellowtail to 20 pounds, hitting in the early morning from 6 to 9 a.m., plus some log barracuda and a few bottom fish in the afternoon.

Early in the week, on Monday, the Tamara fished was north Todos Santos Island and got into a big school of 20-pound yellowtail. Nine yellowtail were caught, mostly on jigs, Tady 45 purple and white. The water temperature in this Ensenada sportfishing area was 61 degrees.
