DAILY ENSENADA FISHING REPORTS BY IVAN VILLARINO

May 8-14, 2005, Ivan Villarino, Vonny's Fleet, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico Fishing:

May 8, 2005: Jay Johnson caught one yellowtail of 28 pounds in generally slow fishing on Vonny I with Capt. Beto Zamora.

May 9, 2005: Ensenada fishing showed a dramatic improvement this morning when Carl Jules from Whittier, "Bo" Bohannan from Ventura, Jerry Stussman from Westlake Village, Greg Culbert from Ojai, and Robert Mandel from Ventura caught limits of yellowtails on Vonny I and Vonny III.

May 10, 2005: Carl Jules from Whittier, Greg Culbert from, Robert Mandel from Ventura, Jerry Stussman from Westlake Village, and "Bo" Bohannan from Ventura caught ten yellowtails and limits of rockcod and calicos this morning on Vonny I and Vonny III.

May 12, 2005: Mostly sunny. Low winds. Water temperature 60 degrees. Swells 3 feet. James Roddy and Tommy Harris from San Francisco caught six yellowtails on Vonny I.

May 13, 2005: Partly cloudy in the morning. Vance Anderson caught some calicos on Vonny III. This day the fishing slowed down a little bit. Tommy Harris from San Francisco also caught a halibut and some calicos on Vonny I.

May 14, 2005: Ensenada has areas of fog in the morning then clearing. Low winds. Water temperatures were in the 60's. Levon Kheshvadjian, Yorba Linda; Russ & Spencer Kalander, Huntington Beach; Sam & Craig Simonian, Los Angeles; Sako Dertorossian, Laguna Hills; caught limits of yellowtails averaging 24 pounds this morning on the Vonny I with Capt. Beto Zamora, the Vonny II with Capt. Genaro Zamora, and the Vonny III, with Capt. Cruz Zamora.
