ROUGH WAVES SHORTEN MEXICO FISHING TRIP TO PUNTA SOLEDAD

We had a fishing trip from Ensenada to Punta Soledad, and it was cut short due to fog and rough waves, but with no wind. Due to conditions two anglers were seasick, and we returned early to Ensenada, after fishing for only about an hour. In this hour, though, we caught 15 fish. The water temperature was 58.8 degrees. We caught salmon grouper, four whitefish, rockcod, and lingcod, using live sardine bait.

Last Sunday, May 15th, we fished out of Ensenada with two clients, going to the Soledad bank, an area very good for bottom fishing, and we had a very good day, completely flat, with very good fishing. We caught limits of rockcod, limits of salmon grouper, and limits of whitefish, and also a cow cod, that we sometimes also call a roosterfish, of 7 or 8 pounds. The water temperature was 62 degrees.
