BARRACUDA LIMITS AND AN 18-POUND WHITE SEABASS
CAUGHT BY ENSENADA FISHING BOAT EL DORADO

June 25, 2005, Memo Gomez, El Dorado Sportfishing, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico:

Today I fished with four passengers, and the fishing at Ensenada was very good. We got limits of big barracuda, and an 18-pound white seabass. We saw yellowtail, but had no luck with them, while fishing the area about halfway to the isla. The water temperature in our Ensenada fishing area was 66.5 degrees, and we fished entirely with lures, in some fog with a little wind, but actually very good fishing conditions.

On Monday I went out fishing locally at Ensenada with two passengers and we caught one yellowtail and limits of barracuda. The day had some moderate wind in the morning, and harder wind in the afternoon. We fished with jigs and Rapalas, and the water temperature at Ensenada was 66 degrees. The day was very sunny and good.

Earlier, on Sunday, I went fishing with one angler, in very good weather with just a little wind, and we had very good fishing off Ensenada in a water temperature of 66.5 degrees, for four yellowtail and limits of barracuda. We fished with jigs and Rapalas, trolling the area around Punta Banda.
