ENSENADA FISHING BOATS MATADOR AND WAHOO
CATCH YELLOWTAIL AND BOTTOM FISH

July 24, 2005, Emerald Argonza, Matador Sportfishing, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico:

The Matador, skippered by me, Capt. Emerald, with 4 anglers, caught 3 yellowtail, with one weighing 25 lbs., and 1 blue shark 20 lbs. Two yellowtail were caught on the troll using black and purple feathers. Water temperatures were 67 to 68 degrees. Two yellowtail were caught 15 miles south of 390. One yellowtail was caught on live bait and the blue shark was caught on live bait. It was a hard day of fishing for Ensenada boats, except for local trips that caught limits of bottom fish.

The charter fishing boat Wahoo, skippered by Jorge Villanueva fished out of Ensenada with four anglers at Soledad, and ended up with limits of lingcod, rockcod, salmon grouper, and calico bass, caught on live bait and squid, in a water temperature of 67 degrees.
