ENSENADA BOAT FISHES SOUTH AT SAN JOSE REEF

Sept. 18, 2005, Gerardo Sanchez, KCHTS Sportfishing, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico:

Fishing out of Ensenada on Tuesday, we went to San Jose reef with 4 passengers and it was very good bottom fishing with over limits and a lot of fish in the water. The water temperature was 56 degrees, cold. Ensenada fishing weather was nice in the morning, but at noon the wind blew a little hard.

Fishing on Saturday, I went again to San Jose with 5 passengers, and again we got over limits, and only in a few hours. Fishing was very good.

From the Ensenada outer banks, the fishing information I have is some boats got a few yellowfin tuna by the lower 500 spot. Yesterday was a fishing tournament, and the guys from the Bag Dog won with a marlin of 135 pounds.

Fishing locally at Ensenada inside the bay, the action is slow, but there are some barracuda at the island, and bottom fish.
