LOTS OF ENSENADA ROCKFISH CAUGHT BY VONNY'S FLEET PANGAS

Oct. 16-22, 2005, Ivan Villarino, Vonny's Fleet, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico:

This week the Ensenada sportfishing area had calm seas and cooler weather after the rain of the first few days. Fishing on Sunday, Brian Nickelson and Tim Ryan caught one nice yellowtail and limits of bottom fish on the panga Vonny-I with Capt. Beto Zamora.

On Wednesday Jay Johnson went out fishing with Capt. Beto and he caught 15 assorted bottom fish and one 30 pound yellowtail.

Friday, Jay went fishing again and he and Capt. Beto got some nice lingcod. Fishing on the panga Vonny-III with Capt. Cruz Zamora, we got some lingcods too with Chris Shats and Dan Byerley from Brea California, all the fish weighing 7 to 10 lbs.

Saturday Choi and son caught lingcods limits, 8 to 11 lbs., and rockcods, sugar bass, Johnny bass, etc., on the Vonny-I with Beto. The Vonny-II with Hector Zamora took Garry Griffin and friend catching lingcod limits, 8 to 10 lbs.

By the weekend, Ensenada fishing weather was 62-68 F. Light winds in the morning. Swells 3 feet. Water temperature 61s F.
