FEW BAJA ANGLERS PRESENT THIS WEEK AT ENSENADA

Oct. 30-Nov. 5, 2005, Ivan Villarino, Vonny's Fleet, Punta Banda, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico:

Ensenada had a slow sportfishing week with few anglers in town, and we had no charters until Saturday.

Fishing on Saturday out of Ensenada, our pangas the Vonny I and Vonny III, with Capt. Beto and Capt. Hector caught 10 lingcods and 3 yellowtails. The yellows were 23 to 26 pounds. The anglers, from San Diego, were Steve Lai, Peter Wang, Daniel Chang, Oliver Alfonso and Bo Smith.

The winter yellowtails are now in at Ensenada.

We have a few swells, but the ocean is relatively calm in our fishing area of the tip of Punta Banda.

Ensenada weather is partly cloudy in the morning, then clearing, about 55 to 67 degrees, with light breezes in the morning, swells of 3 feet, and a water temperature at Punta Banda of 60 degrees.
