LIGHT ANGLER ACTIVITY THIS WEEK

July 9, 2004, Larry Edwards, Cortez Yacht Charters, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Mexico Fishing Report:

A light week for angling activity in the Ixtapa vacation area, but nonetheless, beautiful weather and sea conditions greeted those who wetted a line.

French angler, Mr. Ploquin, fishing 6 days aboard the "Dos Hermanos I", landed 7 sailfish, 1 dorado & 5 skipjack for three fishing days offshore, and 8 roosterfish, 6 yellowtail jacks, 2 bigeye jacks, 26 bonito and 2 Spanish mackerel, (sierra) & 6 needlefish in 3 inshore fishing days.

Also from France, Mr. Devocelle, landed 2 roosterfish and 1 yellowtail jack on his first inshore fishing day witth Captain Adolfo.

Fishing on our newest super panga, "Sirena", Mr. Ron Hirsh landed 1 sailfish, 2 skipjack and 15 bonitos for 1 offshore day.

Also fishing aboard the "Sirena" was mr. Rocky Howe, who landed 3 sailfish, 1 roosterfish, 3 yellowtail jacks and 3 bonito for 2 fishing days. The bluewater is within 8 miles of the beach.

Ixtapa-Zihutanejo Climate: Sunny days, calm winds, near perfect conditions.

Ixtapa-Zihutanejo Sea Conditions: Calm, temps in 86-87 degree range.

Bait Supply: Excellent.
