The sailfish action continued to be good and fair catches of yellowfin tuna and dorado (mahi-mahi) were available this week for the offshore waters. The inshore action continued at about the same pace as last week, with the better roosterfish catches coming from north of Zihuatanejo Bay. The skippers reported very good chances at the sailfish with averages at about 3 per boat day and 6-8 rises.

Ixtapa Zihuatanejo Fishing Climate: Excellent, Mostly sunny & warm, temps from 67 nights to 90 daytime highs.

Ixtapa Zihuatanejo Fishing Water Conditions: Warm and constant at 82-83 degrees, calm throughout the area.

Best Lure/Bait: Rigged trolling baits were the hot ticket for the billfish and dorado and live bait was best for the tuna and the roosterfish.
