MIXED DORADO AND TUNA CONTINUE FOR LOCAL PANGAS

Aug. 21, 2004, Gerardo Hernandez, Tortuga Sportfishing, Las Arenas, La Paz, Mexico fishing report:

This week we had more of the same, dorado, and tuna in small sizes, none large, and these were caught in the area south, near Punta Pescadero, where there are many sardinas holding and being caught for bait. In the La Paz fishing area south of Isla Cerralvo, yesterday we caught two wahoo on one of our pangas.

Today we hope to find more, and we will look around the buoys at the 88 bank, where we think there may be more of them. The sea in the La Paz vacation area has been completely calm, with water temperatures of 80 to 84 degrees in the fishing areas where we are working, and the air temperature has been in the mid-90s.
