MOSQUITO FLEET SENDING ABOUT 10 BOATS OUT PER DAY

Aug. 21, 2004, Luis Lopez, Mosquito Fleet, La Paz, Mexico fishing report.

During the week we had about eight super pangas and two cruisers fishing per day. La Paz fishing was very good some days, and slower on other days. We caught dorado and striped and blue marlin, none very large, with the biggest dorado about 35 to 40 pounds.

La Paz weather has been good, about 100 degrees, but the fishing highly variable. The sea has been calm, with water temperatures about 80 to 85 degrees, and La Paz fishing area water is clear and blue, perfect for good fishing, with visibility of 80 to 120 feet.

Earlier, a women's fishing tournament was won by a sailfish of 22.5 kilos caught at La Reina by Andrea Olivares of San Francisco, fishing on the Chupa's team for a first prize of a three night fishing trip to Buena Vista Beach Resort.
