DORADO LEAD FISH COUNTS FOR LAS ARENAS PANGAS

Oct. 10, 2004, Gerardo Hernandez, Tortuga Sportfishing, Las Arenas, La Paz, Mexico Fishing:

This week La Paz fishing was similar to the previous week, with dorado of 20 to 30 pounds as the main catch. We caught very few tuna, and those were small ones. The best fishing area continued to be around San Isidro and around Punta Pescadero, using sardinas and squid for bait.

Saturday, there were very few squid in this area, but we're still hoping to see more large tuna. Yesterday, we also were able to catch wahoo, which continue to be found. Las Arenas vacation area weather has been in the mid-90s, with calm seas and winds, and water temperatures in the 80s.
