BOATS FIND MAHI AROUND ENSENADA DE LOS MUERTOS

Nov. 14, 2004, Gerardo Hernandez, Tortuga Sportfishing, Las Arenas, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:

The week of La Paz fishing just ended was good, as we found mahi-mahi (also "dorado" in Spanish) in different areas around Ensenada de los Muertos. Yesterday, on Saturday, we caught various species around Punta Perico and the south end of Isla Cerralvo, and we were also able to get many small tuna.

In general the La Paz anglers that went out this week were happy that we had such good fishing again. La Paz weather has begun to get cooler, about 76 to 82 degrees this week, and the water temperature continues at 78 to 80 degrees, with north winds beginning, with light days in between. We continue to have a good supply of sardina bait.
