PIRATES FLEET BOATS FISHING IN WINDY CONDITIONS

March 26, 2005, Leonard Phillips, Pirates Fleet, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:

This week the wind has had its way in our La Paz sportfishing vacation area. It was blowing from the north one day and flat and calm the next day. Patience paid off for angler Rudy Calderon of Pasadena who landed a 55 pound Yellowtail on the southwest side of Espiritu Santo near La Paz.

With the wind, we have had to work the rocks and also caught several nice Cabrillas. One weighed in at 25 pounds. El Rey has given the most consistent bite with limits of Yellowtails up to 25 pounds. La Paz fishing area water temperatures are in the lower 70's with the air averaging 82 degrees. Bait is still plentiful.
