MIXED-BAG FISHING RESULTS FOR BOATS AT LAS ARENAS

March 27, 2005, Jonathan Roldan, Tailhunter International, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:

We had a good mixed bag of fish this past week in 80-85 degree weather! Results varied, but for most folks there were fish to be caught. The most variety was still to be found around Las Arenas and Cerralvo Island with pargo up the east side of the island, some scattered dorado, and cabrilla up around Punta Perico.

Fishing on the La Paz side, we didn't get the quantity, but more than made up for it with the quality of fish. Nice yellowtail and those bigger roosters were up close tight on the island. The roosters were again in the 30-50 pound class. The yellows were running up to about 25 pounds.
