MIDWEEK FISHING TRIP PRODUCES 5 MARLIN RELEASES

April 22, 2005, Leonard Phillips, Pirates Fleet, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:

This week in La Paz sportfishing, variety is the name of the game. Nice limits of pargo and cabrillas were caught by anglers fishing along the east side of Espiritu Santo Island. A few dorado are beginning to show. La Reyna area is still holding good Yellowtail action.

Richard and Robert Taylor of Wyoming caught and released 5 striped marlin while fishing on Wednesday of this week. The largest marlin weighed approximately 175 pound.

The five marlin were caught on the north end of Cerralvo Island. The captain was Cesar Martinez and the boat was the Kayleen a 20-foot center console walk-around.

Water Temperatures in the La Paz fishing area are 70-72 degrees with the air temperature being a very mild 75-80 degrees.
