SPORTFISHING REPORT BY TAILHUNTER INTERNATIONAL

Oct. 16, 2005, Jonathan Roldan, Tailhunter International, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:

Once the winds died down earlier in the week, La Paz had some of the best weather and conditions of the season. The fishing out of Las Arenas still hasn't quite recovered from Hurricane Otis, but we're still getting giant squid and a smattering of tuna, dorado and big pargo.

However, the dorado bite on the La Paz side has been nothing short of epic. The fishing has been catch-and-release as fast as you can on some days. There was so much dorado this week that even the skippers didn't want the clients to give them anymore fish. Bigger fish showed up too, with more bulls in the 20-40 pound class.
