HOT DORADOS AND A GOOD TRIP WITH TAILHUNTER

July 15, 2006, Sammy Navarro, Good La Paz trip with Tailhunter International:

With the help of Jonathan Roldan of Tailhunter International, a group of us visited La Concha Beach Resort and fished the La Paz area earlier this week.

The fishing was great at both La Paz and Las Arenas. Conditions were calm with 90 degree super clear waters.

Dorados (also mahi-mahi or dolphinfish) in the 30 pound class were caught on a daily basis. We had plenty of action with steady hookups on boils and all the action that comes with a wide-open bite.

Tailhunter's Jonathan Roldan made all the fishing arrangements with the local pangueros including our panga captain Martin. Martin and all the other panga captains with our group were excellent and hard working, providing every opportunity to boat our good catch. Releasing a good amount of our Dorados was not difficult as we had such a good bite and confidence there was a bigger one to boat just moments away.

The most a guy like me can ask for is a pleasant experience and to be put on fish every launch.

With Tailhunter International's help I had both each day I was visiting La Paz. Considering the logistical challenges, Tailhunter's Jonathan is truly a hard working professional yielding positive results. I admire and can appreciate his ability to manage special requests with good results. I had an excellent experience and look forward to my next visit.
