MIXED OFFSHORE AND BOTTOM FISHING FOR TORTUGA PANGAS

Feb. 17, 2007, Tortuga Sport Fishing, Las Arenas, Baja California Sur, Mexico, Gerardo Hernandez?

Tortuga Sport Fishing had a good week at La Paz, with good fishing, although the weather was variable.

We had some strong winds this week, but today the weather is calm, and our boats are fishing is different areas including north of Isla Cerralvo for yellowfin tuna.

Sardina bait fish are plentiful for those fishing this area.

At Punta Perico we are mostly fishing on the bottom for pargo liso, and pargo mulato.

Some dorado are also coming in close on some days, around the Baja fishing area of El Sargento. We have also caught a good number of pompano to 15 pounds.

We are also continuing to catch the Humboldt giant squid in all fishing areas.

However, right now, we don't have many fishermen coming to La Paz. In a few days, there will be groups arriving, and we are waiting to take them fishing and attend to them with our special service as we always do.
