DORADO FISHING PRODUCES 2-FISH LIMITS FOR ARTURO'S ANGLERS

Oct. 31, 2004, Arturo Susarrey, Arturo's Sportfishing, Loreto, Mexico Fishing Report:

It has been very windy during the week at Loreto. Lots of south and north wind, and today we ended the week with little bit of rain. But even with the inconveniences of the weather, none of our activities were canceled.

Loreto Dorado were located on Bajo San Bruno, north of Coronado Island.

Most anglers caught their limit of dorado, which consists of 2 pieces per person. Weight of dorado captured during the week was between 18-20 pounds each.

Sailfish have been located at same spots as the dorado. Most of anglers catch and release them. Only few keep this type of fish and they send it over to have it smoked.

It is possible that on the next couple of weeks their capture will be less, according to the Loreto fishing season, but other types of fish are coming to the area, such as Yellowtail and Sierra.

Roosterfish, are at San Bruno north of Loreto 15 miles.

Mackerel & bigeyes are available on Coronado Island or from the marina (catching your own) or buy it early morning at the marina, at the price of 10 pieces for $15.00 U.S. and 20 pieces for $25.00 U.S.
