PUERTO LOPEZ MATEOS SPORTFISHING REPORT

Nov. 20, 2005, Diana Hoyt, Mag Bay Outfitters, Puerto Lopez Mateos, Magdalena Bay, Mexico Fishing Report:

Some friends went fishing on the SS Sancho yesterday in the bay at Puerto Lopez Mateos. Harvey Tucker of Oceanside and John and Gary Yancy of San Clemente caught each a snook. The rest of the catch was covina, grouper, and spotted bay bass. Over 200 fish were caught and mostly released. The Pacific Venture fish report for a 6 day fly charter out of Oceanside: 72 Marlin raised, 45 Marlin hooked, 17 Marlin landed and released, 18 Dorado.

Offshore fishing out of Puerto Lopez Mateos was good from Boca de Soledad to the Thetis Bank for marlin, dorado, and yellowfin tuna, 70-pounds. Flat conditions, and water temperatures of 71 to 72 degrees.
