GOOD FISHING OFFSHORE AND ON THE BOTTOM

Sept. 12-18, 2004, Tadeo Hernandez, Flota Bibi Fleet, Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico Fishing Fleet Report:

This month has been, like it usually is, slow for business but great for fishing at Mazatlan.

Seven Mazatlan Deep Sea Fishing Trips caught 1 Blue Marlin (224 lb - 9' 6''), 1 Striped Marlin, 7 Dorado, 4 small Shortfin Makos, and 28 Bonitas/Skipjacks. This includes released fish.

One Mazatlan bottom fishing trip caught 1 Dorado, 10 Skipjack Tuna, 4 "Monitas" (Permit like), 2 Mojarras, 1 Trigger Fish, 1 Boca Dulce ("Sweet Mouth" local name) and 1 Burrito ("Little Donkey" local name).

Weather now is 81 F and is cloudy. "Javier" gave us some rain and waves, but we worked everyday except for Thursday. Mazatlan has been having the usual summer rains, but good and calm waters. Water temperature is currently 88 F.
