FLOTA BIBI FLEET USING SHRIMP BAITS TO CATCH DORADO OFFSHORE

July 7, 2006, Tadeo Hernandez, Flota Bibi Fleet charter fishing report for Mazatlan, Mexico:

The best inshore sportfishing has been 0 to 10 miles offshore from the lighthouse and all along Mazatlan's coastline. The fishing water has been pretty calm and the mornings have been not foggy at all.

The best offshore fishing for Mazatlan charter boats has been 0 to 25 miles offshore, heading north from the lighthouse. There ar lots of dorado biting at the buoys and pretty much everywhere too.

A nice 36 pound, 4 foot 10 inch dorado was caught by Gene Valerie and friends on July 4th aboard the boat Norma Patricia with a Skipjack Tuna as bait. The crew was David and Alex.

For Flota Bibi Fleet, 13 Mazatlan offshore fishing trips caught 15 dorado to 42 pounds, 1 Sailfish and 12 Skipjack Tuna or Bonita. The bite slowed down on billfish this week and it shows.

The best fishing for Dorado happened with Shrimp, live Skipjack Tuna and Squid bait, especially with the shrimp.

Mazatlan weather is clear, with 12 m.p.h. wind, water temperature 88 degrees, air temperature 88 degrees, humidity 55 percent.
