MARCH FISHING WATER HOLDING YELLOWTAIL AT 66 TO 69 DEGREES

March 12, 2005, Paul Rista, Mulege, Mexico Fishing Report:

This last week, Mulege had great fishing weather, 75-80 degrees, with calm seas, and water temperatures in the fishing areas of around 66-69 degrees. Yellowtails were scattered all over the Mulege area. Capt. Alex had three fishing trips out of Mulege this week. On one trip he got one Cabrilla in the 20 pound class.

On his 2nd trip, he caught 2 Yellowtails in the 26-30 pound category, plus several Cabrillas in the 10-15 class.

I went out fishing today, and Alex and I fished next to each other on the same Bajo at 145 feet deep. I got the only a very little yellowtail and 1st. Fish, a Berry. Had a good time. The fish are scattered all over, from 5 Lb. to 40 Lbs.

The nicest item in Baja at this time is that everything is in bloom. The Desert is alive and it's awesome.
