WINTER SEAS CALM FOR LOCAL SPORTFISHING BOATS

Nov. 20, 2005, Sam Saenz, Puerto Santo Tomas Resort, Puerto Santo Tomas, Mexico Fishing Report:

All week long we have had super weather and ocean fishing conditions at Puerto Santo Tomas. The ocean is standing still like glass and no wind.

All week long the pangueros came back with full sacks of fish. Under the present weather conditions they can venture out further to penetrate more remote areas.

This weekend several sport fishing pangas went out.

James Ellis and his group from the Los Angeles area brought in full limits on two days of fishing. As usual, consistent with her title and record, the Grand Ma, Diane Lujan, from Nuevo, Calif., was here again. She out-fished all the macho guys and took the jackpot by hooking up and bringing in a 35 pound Manta Ray along with an assortment of 10 pound category lingcods.
