BOATS CATCH GOOD NUMBERS OF QUALITY TUNA AT ROCA CORBETENA AND EL BANCO

Aug. 1, 2004, Kim Moore, Charter Dreams, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Fishing:

Fishing action continues to be brisk. Lots of sailfish between the Tres Marietas and El Moro being caught on dead bait and trolling lisa and goggle eyes. Some dorado were picked up around the trash lines off Tres Marietas early in the week. Several nice blue marlin came in to Puerto Vallarta from El Banco this week. Yellowfin tuna in the 150 – 250 lb. range are coming in regularly from both Corbetena and El Banco. Puerto Vallarta weather was sunny skies, warm and humid. Evening showers. Water temp. 87 – 89.

Catch of the week: Phil Strobel fished "A Hooker" two days last week for 2 nice Sailfish, 1 – 157 lb. Yellow Fin 1 – 258 lb.
