HUGE BLACK MARLIN REPORTED LANDED ON STAND-UP FISHING TACKLE

Sept. 11, 2005, Thomas Lin, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Fishing Trip Report:

I just returned from fishing Puerto Vallarta with Captain Manuel and first mate Tony aboard the Yolaray.

We fished 5 days from Sept. 3-7 at both El Banco and Corbeteña. The fishing water was very warm at 90 degrees and at times off color, but we still caught plenty of large tuna in green water and released a few bill fish.

A 750-pound black marlin was caught on a large skipjack at El Banco and took 25 minutes to land on stand up gear.
