LOCAL CHARTER BOATS FISHING AT ROCA CORBETENA

Dec. 15, 2005, Danny Osuna, Marla's Sportfishing, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Fishing Report:

Barry Fisk from Illinois caught a nice 25 pound trevally and a 30 pound tuna onboard the Marla II with Capt. Danny Osuna fishing at Roca Corbeteña in Puerto Vallarta waters. The water conditions were really nice, flat sea, no wind, a water temperature of 75 degrees. It was Barry's first time fishing in at Puerto Vallarta. He had a great time. We caught, a lot of fish besides the trevally and the tuna. We also caught a lot of red snapper and groupers. We saw tunas all over but we only caught 2. They are crashing everywhere but not baiting too good.

On Dec. 17th, Doug Shidona from Santa Ana, California, caught a 120 pound sailfish after releasing another sailfish. His friend Glen Gilsleider from Rancho Palos Verdes, California, caught a 20 pound tuna, and Bob Lycette from Santa Ana, California, caught a 75 pound tuna. They fished onboard the Marla II with Capt. Danny Osuna at Roca Corbeteña. The water condition was nice, 3 knots NW wind, and the water with a temperature of 76 degrees. We fished really hard today to catch tunas. We saw tunas crashing all day. But there is a lot of small bait fish. That's why they are not to aggressive to nail the caballito. Maybe in 2 or 3 more days they will be hungry, when the moon sleeps longer.
