FUN FISHING IN SOME WIND AND RAIN AT PUERTO PENASCO

March 6, 2005, Don Dufek, Rocky Point, Mexico Fishing Trip Report:

The weather at Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) was not really conducive for fishing due to periods of rain and wind. However, in several hours of hitting the water, fishing Saturday evening and Sunday at noon, we did manage to boat a leopard grouper, a gulf grouper, a couple of nice red snapper, and a dandy barred pargo. My daughter Margo, had a ball fishing at Rocky Point, especially when her Penn screamed when the fish took off on runs. Never before has she experienced fatigue from fighting fish. What fun! My son Jonathan and I both managed to loose a couple of big ones... Next time!
