DORADO ACTION CONTINUES SLUGGISH FOR LOCAL SPORTFISHING BOATS

July 3, 2005, Bill Molden, San Carlos, Mexico Fishing Report:

The dorado fishing continues to be slow around San Carlos. Blind strikes of small dorado are all that are being reported, but on a good note some yellowfin tuna on blind strikes are also being reported, with a few of these fish running in the 70-pound range. Nice fish if you are fortunate enough for one of them to jump on a cedar plug.

The marlin are still everywhere with multiple catches every day. With the fishing water temperatures around San Carlos running in the 82-84 degree range we would hope that the dorado would show up in force any time now.

The seas have been running in the 3-4 foot range for the past week so it's been hard to "get out". Lets hope for some better weather.
