PANGA SHIP CELIA ANGELINA FINDS
EXCELLENT CONDITIONS AT MIDRIFF ISLANDS

June 17, 2004, Bob Castellon, Sea of Cortez Sportfishing, Celia Angelina trip of June 12-17, 2004, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico:

On a 6 day charter led by Jim Novak from Tucson Arizona we had 18 fishermen departing from Rockey Point. We claim the first dorado of the year out of San Felipe. Included in the catch were full limits of yellowtail to 36 lbs., 36 dorado to 14 lbs., 132 Giant Squid and 250 Misc.

We released 3 baby grouper under 25 lbs and 1 golden Cabrilla. Due to travel commitments we were not able to fish the Pargo or white seabass reefs. Once again the bait fishing was limited to daytime hours. Fishing conditions were excellent as seas were mild with slight wind in the afternoon from the east. Air was in the low 80 degrees and Bob found the Dorado in 75 degree water.
