GOOD MIDRIFF FISHING FOR 19 ANGLERS ABOARD THE MOTHERSHIP ERIK

June 17, 2004, Dana Kerby, Sea of Cortez Sportfishing, Inc., San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico mothership trip by the Erik:

Gustavo (he was on the trip this past week) said it was the best fishing of all of the 8 trips so far this season. This was a charter by Mike Biedebach from Ventura (19 people total).

They visited Punta Diablo, Isla Vibora, Isla La Raza (twice), San Bernabe (on mainland Baja), Salvatierra and the Encantadas. Again, it was too windy to go to the Golden Reef. Catch was as follows, including released fish: Yellowtail - 298; Cabrilla - 497 (10 lb. and up); Pargo - 13; White Seabass - 12 (one was 35 lb.); Grouper - 7 (33 to 52 lb.); and Mixed smaller fish - 43.
