BIG CROWDS GREET SOLD-OUT
SAN FELIPE SHRIMP FESTIVAL

Nov. 7, 2004, Catalina Meders, Title Company Bookstore, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico Report:

San Felipe weather for the Shrimp Festival has been just about as perfect as it could be, although we did have a few raindrops this morning early. Right now the air is 74 degrees with the humidity at 40%., 70 degrees in the water. But it's definitely getting to be "winter" more and more. People are running around in long pants and sweats (although not much sweating going on).

San Felipe bay is beautifully calm, but steel gray because we do have a few dark clouds around, but no wind.

San Felipe Shrimp Festival was JAMMED last night and all the food stalls were selling out, great for the town, and they had a very pretty fireworks display over the bay. There was much dancing and drinking of tequila and Tecate.

And this morning there was a large team of people out getting the San Felipe malecon spiffed up again, although a lot of folks will be heading home today.

Now that the excitement and distraction of the US election has died down, more of San Felipe's regulars are blowing into town and the serious business of relaxing and enjoying NO BAD DAYS can begin in earnest.
