LOTS OF VACATION TOURISTS IN
TOWN FOR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY

Nov. 28, 2004, Catalina Meders, Title Company Bookstore, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico:

Wonderful weather at San Felipe! Today it is windy and the thermometer says 75 degrees, but it seems much cooler than that. San Felipe bay is very choppy and there are large white caps on a fast running tide.

Last night as I went home, around 4 p.m., it was getting COLD, but excellent sleeping weather still. San Felipe is fairly packed with people spending the long Thanksgiving weekend and all the businesses in town are doing very well, always a happy thing to report. BUT, the fireworks noise level has escalated enormously over the last couple of days, and there are many seriously upset visitors. Actually, it's getting really bad. Some of them sound like serious BOMBS, and people are telling me about rattling windows, etc. No bueno. Apart from that, 'tis the season to be jolly, so let us be...until next time, vaya con Dios from the book store by the bay.
