PANGA MOTHERSHIP ERIK'S SPORTFISHING SEASON BEGINS

April 15, 2005, Dana Kerby, Erik, Baja Sportfishing, Inc., San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico Panga Mothership Fishing Report:

The Erik had a successful trip for it's maiden voyage for the first week of the San Felipe fishing season. There were 19 fishermen and women on board. From San Felipe, the boat traveled to Refugio Bay, Punta Diablo, Vibora, along the Baja coastline, Ensenada Grande, and capped off the trip at the Golden Reef. They had gone further south to San Francisquito, but the fish were all further north this time. The catch was as follows: Yellowtail 93; Cabrilla 51; Pargo 13; White Sea Bass 18; four large black sea bass were caught, one was 32 lb. and another was 48 lb., both caught by women anglers! They were caught at the Golden Reef, as were the white sea bass. All-in-all, a successful fishing trip.
